Custodial Service is the art of keeping the places we use every day safe and clean. It is a service that everyone relies on! Every time you go to a supermarket, a movie theatre, a doctor’s office, or maybe someone’s home, a Custodial Technician keeps things in order! Behind every clean space that people enjoy, there is a Custodial Technician!
Custodial Technicians use a variety of skills to keep surfaces and floors clean and ready to use. They often work behind the scenes when offices are closed. This allows the technician to focus on their task uninterrupted. Sometimes, these technicians work in people’s homes. It depends on what type of environment they enjoy working in most. As a Custodial Technician, it is entirely up to you!
In VTEC’s Custodial Services Program, you will learn everything you need to know about becoming a Custodial Technician. There are many types of surfaces, and even more ways to clean them! Our students learn first-hand how to use various tools and techniques to get the job done right. There is even an opportunity to be mentored by a Custodial Technician through our co-working program!

Certifications
Students will be awarded a certificate of skills mastery upon completion of the course. This certificate lets employers know that you have the skills needed to excel in your chosen field. In addition to the Basic Custodial Technician certificate issued by the ISSA—The Worldwide Cleaning Association, students will also be certified in CPR and basic first aid!
