Maintenance Technicians keep the buildings and grounds of businesses looking and working great! These workers can work on a variety of items. Landscapes, flooring, equipment, and even lighting systems need to be maintained, and Maintenance Technicians are the specialists.
Part of being a successful Maintenance Technician is learning all about the items in their care, including scheduled tasks that keep things running smoothly. Maintenance Technicians usually use many interesting tools in their work and know the right tool for any job. Whether a Maintenance Technician works indoors or out, there is always plenty of variety to keep things interesting!
VTEC’s Physical Plant and Maintenance Program teaches students about the tools and techniques used in the field of facility maintenance. Many of our lessons are hands-on, and students can practice their skills at one of nearly thirty facilities through our co-working program! This allows you to learn first-hand from an actual Maintenance Technician. Each student will receive their own uniform, footwear, and textbook full of the latest information on the industry.

Certifications
Students will be awarded a certificate of skills mastery upon completion of the course. This certificate lets employers know that you have the skills needed to excel. Students will also earn certification in CPR and basic first aid!
